3.5/5I enjoyed Ask For It, my first full length novel by Sylvia Day. The writing style was comfortable and easy to read which made the story flow well from one scene to the next. The prose wasnt overly flowery in fact, I didnt find it flowery at all and at times had to remind myself that this was a historical romance novel because there was such a lack of elaborate or embellished dialog that is so often a part of the genre. Ill just come right out and say that the sexual scenes were very hot3 Stars!Rating: ★ ★ ★ / 5 starsLead Male Character: ★ ★ and a half / 5 starsLead Female Character: ★ ★ / 5 starsPlotline: ★ ★ ★ / 5 stars Genre: romance, medievalWill I recommend this book to others?: nah Will I reread this book?: nah Overall story summed up in one word: oKAY
I sincerely hope critics or those on the fence of deciding whether or not romance is worth their time, never read this book. It is all that is wrong with romance and the depictions of sexuality that give romance novels a bad name. NO means NO. I don't care what is in her eyes, I don't care how much her bosoms heave at your touch, if she says no, stop. I have really enjoyed other Sylvia Day books, this one was a big disappointment.

3.5 stars!I've read many of Sylvia Day's books and have loved them, my favourite being the Crossfire series of course. I really enjoyed this book and love the enemies to lovers relationship between Elizabeth and Marcus. They are such a fierce couple. The whole back story with Hawthorne and the journal was a little strange for me. It didn't really add anything to the story. The fact that Elizabeth was in danger didn't seem to add anything until the end of the book. When the story of the journal
Hmm. Not my cup of tea. This is my first Regency-style romance, and granted, I am right smack in the middle of the Outlander series, so maybe I was expecting a little too much since it's set in the same time period, but this couple just didn't do it for me. For the first half of the book I was rolling my eyes. The second half got better once there were real emotions there and more real passion, not just lust. As for the plot...the whole agency thing with the journal was weird. To me, it didn't
4.75 Obsessive, Posessive Stars!!The Earl of Westfield, Marcus Ashford, has been obsessed with Lady Elizabeth Hawthorn since she left him high and dry to elope with another. Now four years later, her spouse has been murdered and Marcus is determined to scratch that itch for Elizabeth so he can stop obsessing over her. Little does he know that one taste isn't enough to quench his need, it only leaves him wanting more. The love that develops between Marcus and Elizabeth is quite intense,
WOW...this is an amazing wicked historical by Sylvia Day!I'm in disbelief that it's taken only until now for me to discover this gem.I love the premise of this story. I was instantly drawn to Marcus' and Elizabeth's story. They were engaged 4 years ago but through a misunderstanding, she eloped with someone else and he was left with a broken heart. She's now a widow out of mourning and he takes no chances that someone else possess her. She was always suppose to be his and pursues her at her very
