The Eleventh Commandment
This was a fabulous book. The plot was fantastic and the characters were terrific. It gives a lot of insight into the inter-workings of the CIA, an the administration. There were so many twists and turns, you couldn't put the book down. I would recommend it to everyone who loves a true thriller.
This book was an intriguing book that keeps the reader guessing as to what will happen next and who was the "villian" of the story. Even at the end, the author still throws a twist at the end and not everything seems like it should be until the last page! I really enjoyed this book, although it makes me wonder if things like this truly happen with our government! :)

Rather intriguing story. Reading Archer after quite a while and the stories he delivers remain unchanged, ie exceptional. The character development and the story line was one of the best from him. Highly recommended.
i'm a big archer fan and when i'm in the mood for a book with a good story and twist, i grab one of his books. i was going to give this 4 stars, but i predicted the end, so i will have to give it 3 stars. i can never guess the ending of his books, but this one was way too predictable. i still enjoyed it though. :)
I love Jeffrey Archer and this doesn't disappoint!! Its no Kane & Abel, but its a fast-paced, spy thriller that was a fun and escape!!
Engaging yet fundamentally flawed political thriller by Jeffery Archer. There were times where I was bored with both Archer's prose and his story...and other times where I was enthralled with the twists and turns Archer had to offer. Yet in the end, the story does not pay off as it should...and Archer drops the ball where he should have played it through. In "The Eleventh Commandment," a political assassination in Columbia sparks a cover-up trail that ends with the Director of the CIA. Connor Fitzgerald is a professional's professional. Holder of the Medal of Honor. Devoted family man. Servant of his country. But for the past twenty-eight years, Fitzgerald has been leading a double life as the CIA's most deadly assassin. And only days before his retirement from the CIA, he comes across an enemy who, for the first time, even he cannot handle. The enemy is his own boss - Helen Dexter - the director of the CIA. Dexter's stranglehold on the agency is threatened by one decision, and her only hope of survival is to destroy Fitzgerald. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a formidable new foe is threatening the United States: a ruthless hard-line Russian president, who is determined to force a new military confrontation between the two superpowers. From emergency meetings in the Oval Office to a Russian mafya boss's luxurious hideaway outside St. Petersburg, The Eleventh Commandment sweeps readers off their feet from the first paragraph. As in Jeffrey Archer's previous bestsellers, The Eleventh Commandment features enough plot-twisting ingenuity, exotic characterization, and narrative surprise to take the art of thriller writing to a new level. In his latest novel, Jeffrey Archer is at the peak of his page-turning powers.
