Chronicle Toward Books The Faceless Ones (Skulduggery Pleasant #3)

The third bone-breaking, belly-busting adventure in the series that puts the “funny” back in, um, funny series. That didn’t really work, did it? If you’ve read the previous Skulduggery books then you know what the Faceless Ones are — and if you know what the Faceless Ones are, then you can probably take a wild guess that things in this book are going to get AWFULLY sticky for our skeletal hero and his young sidekick. If you haven’t read the previous Skulduggery books then what are you doing reading this? Go and read them right now, so that you know what all that stuff in the previous paragraph was about. Done? Good. So now you’re on tenterhooks too, desperately awaiting the answers to all your questions, and instead you’re going to have to wait to read the book. Sorry about that.

Great review, Ryan!

One of my favorite things about the first book was that Valkyrie embraced the magical world wholeheartedly, with none of the usual dillydallying about whether she actually wanted it or not. So, I don't really appreciate the constant condescension from everyone (except Skulduggery and Tanith) about how she should really go back to her normal life and it'll be so much better for her. But I'm glad to have Ghastly back -- it was super weird that he was hardly mentioned in the second book -- and the

This series is just so much fun! I love how this third installment throws you right into the action. The author still does a wonderful job balancing the action with humor. I absolutely enjoyed loved getting to know more about the our characters and the magic system. It's great seeing Valkyrie learn more and more about her powers. As much as I love Valkyrie and her reflection, my favorite character hands down is definitely Skulduggery himself - I mean, he's a magic using skeleton with fantastic

These books just keep getting better and better the older I get when I reread them.

actual rating: 4.5/5 stars That's a shame. I'm sure somebody, somewhere, cares. This third novel has this series remain fresh and takes it more into a direction that i wasn't expecting but the ending has really kept me interested to continue this series. The hilarious dialogue and banter with in this series pages are always top notch and i love having all the characters just bounce off each other. Also the magic, sarcasm and the adventure make this series something special and make me fall in
